Old news but nobody has posted it. Interdasting.

Buffett

"Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (ticker: BRK.A, BRK.B) shed $900 million in Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT) stock, reports Business Insider, echoing larger issues the retail industry is facing against fierce competition like Amazon.com (AMZN)."

With the DAPL and Keystone pipelines going to take business away from his rail transport of oil he is looking to replace that income loss by profiting on flying Mexicans back to Mexico.  Hauling oil and hauling, well, you know, is a similar endeavor.

The airline industry is a good hedge against oil.. The lower oil and gas prices are, the cheaper airlines are to operate. I guess he foresees oil and gas staying relatively low and steady demand for air travel. Trump did say he is going to push for airport upgrades and MAGA

Maybe he should invest in Dubai drone taxi's while he's at it

Well, I personally try not to go to Wall-Mart if at all possible, but they are sometimes the only game in town for miles around. Wall-Mart had a huge round of layoffs, and I bet someone who actually knows what is going on, got laid off, and now it is being run by the supervisorial personnel.

Plus Wall-Mart is getting killed by Amazon.

Sort of surprises me that Walmart has been that effected by Amazon. I'm a prime member and order a a ton of stuff from Amazon but I buy things from Walmart that I need now, not two or three days from now. I'm never going to order groceries, toilet paper, laundry detergent, cat litter, etc. from Amazon.
