It appears the biggest crime in Chicago is living there, as the penalty seems to be death.

If the gunshots don't kill you, the taxes and bureaucratic red tape will.  Union will fucking extort you to do any work. It cost me $6k to change a light fixture in a retail property there. Took 4 months to get the permit pulled. I had to do another one a month later. I was told by the permitting office to pay an expediter if I didn't want to wait so long for the permit. I paid an expediter $800 and the second permit took 6 months.  WTF?

Fuck all that noise. I'd quietly do the job myself and not bother to tell anybody.

Then again, I'd never set foot in Chicago.

I'll wager that most Chicago shooting victims do not represent much of a potential loss to business, industry, and the general advancement of society as a whole.

Just a hunch.

First you pay them to be at work, then you pay them to actually do work.

A lot of people move out of Chicago because they're sick of living in epic fail, and then call us farmboys, hicks, and rednecks while living a better life in our state.
