Hell Yeah

My Walmart has the extended magazine Maverick 12 gauge pump for $219 regular price - That puts it at $175 on sale.

They also have the H&R Pardners normally for $173-ish so one of those is merely $138-$140ish. I think I might just grabone and put it away for future project or gifts!

The only other "firearms" related Black Friday sale item is 30% off all hunting apparel.

Link Posted: 11/14/2014 3:07:47 AM EDT
Any particularly good deals that will be created by this sale?

I was thinking about grabbing a basic 10/22 to build an LTR out of. At $160+tax for the wood/blue version, its hard to shake a stick at.

Already have a Savage .17 HMR in layaway . Remember Savage is also doing a rebate.

$25 rebate for the one I have put back, plus 20% off ,is going to be a great deal.

Where was it confirmed? Not saying I don't believe you, just wondered if it's in writing anywhere.

A member here said his wife works in layaway as a supervisor and confirmed it. He said to ask your local one as some may not but they are supposed to.

I put a le6920mp-b on layaway this afternoon and after speaking with the salesperson and manager it seems that the layaway policies are open to interpretation (or neither of them understood very well). From what they told me, I would have to cancel my layaway when I come to pick it up (that takes $10 off the deposit) and then pay off the rifle in full at the discount price. This is different from what I have been hearing about being able to pay off the rifle at the discount price without cancelling the layaway. Whichever method it takes, I'm not sweating $10 over a $250 savings.
Link Posted: 11/20/2014 3:21:13 PM EDT
I put a Mini-14 Ranch Rifle on layaway at $627. With the discount it will be $501.
Link Posted: 11/20/2014 8:37:44 PM EDT
I'm thinking about putting a Ruger American in .308 away. After the discount it would be something like $298ish...is this worth FOing over?

Does that have an accu-trigger?

I will be searching local stores for a Savage between now and then. That's a heck of a deal.

Yes. Synthetic stock. No scope. Not a heavy barrel. Blued/not stainless.

Some of you must have went to my local Walmart - I went there and the guy at the gun counter said he did a record number of Lay-Aways

They were out of stock on Savage 17 HMR darn, but had one last Marlin 917 with a heavy barrel regular $206 - will end up like $164+tax or so and I put it on Lay-Away - Guy at the gun counter confirmed the store will give you the sale price. Yippie!

Thanks for the heads up on the lay-away tip!

Curious if 20% off Retail, means the "everyday low price", or actual MSRP?

I think I will anyways because I have no faith in them that they are actually holding my Mini-14. I think after I put it on layaway they just put it back in the display case for everyone and their dog to finger fuck.

Just go put it on layaway anyways and worst case scenario you're out $10.

Anyone pick up their lay-away rifle yet? I have a Savage Axis .308 waiting, but will go tomorrow.

Just curious if any issues with it?

I picked up my mini-14 this morning. There was no problem except I forgot my layaway receipt and Walmart takes forever to sell guns. It took an hour and a half (they couldn't find my rifle in the back), but after it was over I got my Mini14 ranch rifle for $501 plus tax.

I picked up my Marlin yesterday and was pleased it had the Marlin equivalent of a Accu-trigger (Yeah!) with the trigger lock on it, I didn't know when they showed it to me.

The system did recognize the price was 20% off, Right on the LayAway ticket under item #9, it said " If the retail price is lower at the time of purchase completion, then you will receive the lower price"

I read that to the LayAway counter person and she was already familiar with it - Evidently they sold a record number of guns! Many on Lay-Away and people picking them up. In fact when I went to pick mine up at 3pm on Friday, store was kind of dead except the gun counter where there was a line to process the electronic 4473. lots of folks buying. May go back and get another .

I saw several people buying multiple guns yesterday.
