Anybody else shorted on round count? Is this common knowledge?
Out of two 100 count boxes, I loaded six 30rnd mags and have seven rounds left over.
I'm short thirteen rounds!

What exactly are the 30 round 9mm mags are you loading?

Mags I know:
Uzi: 25, 32, 40
9mmAR: 20, 25, 32
Glock: 31, 33

ETA  Ah.  MP5 .  Okay.

I'va always found they had 101 per box.  Guess I got some of yours.  Thank you.

Count the rounds, the mags are probably off. I doubt Winchester has to skim ammo.

But I doubt they are being scupulous about making certain the right amount gets sent to Wal-Mart, either.  How can they afford good QA when Wal-Mart is constantly beating them up over price?

If Wally ever had any .223 WWB and every box was short, I'd still buy them out. It's real dry around here, I can scoop up a couple boxes of Remmy UMC every once in awhile at best. Hell, I've even been buying Monarch, whatever the hell that is.

blue box is barnaul and green box is prvi partison.

it's my understanding that the WWB value packs are based off of weight which is why they're off so often.  there was a thread about it awhile back that went into detail.

New m11 zytels from KY imports. Counted the rounds as I loaded thirty in each. They wouldn't take more.

I don't count I just shoot until the box is gone. Guess I should, but what recourse would I have if it was short, none...

All the WWB 9mm boxes I've had were over 100.

I got the green boxes, fairly cheap. How does it compare to WWB?

Sorry to hijack but thanks.

The price of WWB has consistantly gone up over the last few months at Walmart.

That tells me that Winchester hasn't caved to Walmart's tactics.

One year ago I bought WWB .45ACP 100rd Valuepack for $20.95, that price was common around the country.  It went up $1 every other month until last week when I paid $26.95 per box.  Other people around the country are paying $28.

If Walmart was able to get lower quality WWB at a discount from Winchester, they would have kept their prices low to compete with other vendors.

Most of the time bulk boxes of ammo are measured on a scale to
get the 100 rounds.  Sometimes theyll be plus or minus a few, but
I'd report a shortage of greater than 10 rounds to Wal Mart loss
prevention.  Someone may be skimming ammo, or it may be
falling out of the box during stocking, and WWB  cartons are notorious
for falling open so bad, I keep mine in quart size resealable plastic bags.
They are still a hellova deal, even at the current price.  For awhile,
they were cheaper than steel cased Wolf ammo.

I"m curious, not that I care too much about being a few short but I have many 9mm WWB boxes.  I'll pull a few at random tomorrow and do a count.

If you count missing ammo we are going to be paying 75 cents per round and not even know it.

as far as i can tell, it's about that same.

i hardly ever shoot for groups nor do i have a chronograph, so i couldn't comment on the minute differences.   neither one seems to be loaded any hotter than the other...

in terms of plinking and blasting, it does the exact same thing as WWB at $1 less per box.

I recently bought two factory sealed boxes of Lapua .223. Each one had 99. How many does it take for RICO to kick in?

Finnish hoodlums.

that is pretty high.  i used to buy the WWB .223 and 9mm from walmart simply because of the price, but as i've mentioned in other threads, academy now sells WWB cheaper than walmart.  IIRC, it's $6.96/50 there...  and that's after the price hike they had not long ago.  if i'm paying almost $15/100 of 9mm, i'd better get 100 rounds

but why even buy WWB when i can get steel cased monarch for $4.86/50 and brass cased for $5.86/50

I picked up a sealed case of WWB 9mm a couple weeks ago from walmart.

Happy day.

It has always struck me that the 9MM boxes are really easy to get into, plus they don’t have trays like the larger calibers so missing rounds wouldn’t be noticeable.

Still, the boxes I’ve counted have always had either 100 or 101 rounds in them.

I suspect the price increases have something to do with escalating copper prices.  Anyway, I’ve finally given up on Wal-Mart value packs and started reloading again.
