I remember when that flaming turd hit the airwaves. I think I watched half of the first episode just because I couldn't reach the remote under my jaw that dropped.

I remember when they were running previews...did it actually make it to air though? I seem to recall that it was a punchline for every comic at the time, I don't  think it lasted more than two weeks if it made it to air...Bochco eventually redeemed himself I see.

As I recall it was a knockoff of a show that was a hit in the UK. They had Randy Neuman doing some of the music. I think they get credit for thinking outside of the box.
