I have people who put questions in the negative.

Actually it's not a valid question as it delves into your PERSONAL life. Wonder if they would ask if you are a swinger and like group sex? It's not work related and whoever wrote it up is a poor personal administrator.

It could be phrased more like this.

What personal hobbies do you enjoy that would help you in this job? Your answer would be then directed in a more work related direction.

Answer true. Just interpret the question as "I don't like killing people, but they deserved it" or "I don't like using guns, but they are a necessary evil to surviving in this world of criminals and drug addicts."

Basically, you do not own or use guns because you like to; it is just a part of living in today's times. This to me is a worthy answer to such a shitty question.

Well, I don't like using guns...
...as clubs.

Is that all it is asking for the question?  It's very ambiguous.  Therefore, you could infer that it means "I don't like using guns as paperweights" (or insert your own variant).

Make a copy of the questionairre.

Take it to a good lawyer because that is discriminitory and illegal.  From what I understand, employers are not allowed to ask about your personal life.

Hell,  I was involved in a class action lawsuit against Hooters because I could not be hired as a Hooters girl,...

I never even took the job, I went to work for a home improvement store for more money...

How the hell do you afford to even shoot, let alone buy, MGs if you're filling out applications for Auto Zone?

Well, if I go apply at Bass Pro or Cabela's, I won't get the job because it will be obvious that I rightfully believe I've forgotten more about firearms than their entire staff knows at the present.

Unless they are asking if you enjoy fireing old cannons or artillery I don't  see how checking false would be lieing. When they find out you own NFA weapons tell them that those firearms or rifles or what ever. Member Full Metal Jacket.

Really sounds like they are trying to get a feel for a prospective employee's ability to go postal. Do you have guns? Do you like guns? Would you ever bring in your guns to work? Etc.... I hope the world impodes upon all the p.c. Bullshit.

Then why do some jobs require poloygraph exams, they dig so far into your personal life that they know more than me.

One of my wife's clients works at the home office in Memphis.  I will pass the word along to her and see if she can find out anything about this.  Go to that question on their application, "print screen" and paste to wordpad, MW Word, etc to save a copy of it.  Once you have done that, consider talking to NRA-ILA - I'm sure they would pursue it.

What is the context?

I tried to access an app - but they required to much private info.

Is it part of a longer survey?

It seems that, to think that a "false" answer would DQ someone from the job, is a bit paranoid.

Aside from you telling them such, or them reading this or one of your other posts, how would they find out? NFA Forms are confidential tax returns, between YOU, the rederal government, and God, and the state authorities if necesary.

It's the pre-employment questionnaire they ask you to complete after you've given up the personal info.

Uh-oh, I think you just broke this thread.

4 pages, 3 suspensions, 5 shattered relationships, 2 and 1/2 crushed dreams and 1 perm ban before the lock, of which I am in before.
