Yep, It just started running slow for me too. Takes about 15sec for a page to load now.

Few network issues on the net somewhere. About every 5 minutes I lag up for a about 10 seconds or so with 100% packet loss.
If you are routing through these effected areas you'll be fubar too until they fix it. It's not the site or the phone company here... Not too much we can do when the internet acts up!

No, that wasn't it. The Lightfighter forums and Drudgereport were loading in a heartbeat, but AR15.com was hating life there for a while in the wee hours. |

Different routing to different places.
Think of the internet as a highway, if one road to a destination is blocked or clogged, another may be perfectly clear. You're destination is still the same, ARFCOM, but the route you take to the site via the internet may be different and is dictated by your ISP to a certain degree. Your exit out is through your ISP and the entrance in is thorugh ours, anything that happens in the middle is just a big old gray area.  On a side note, there was a lot more traffic last night through the router and we peaked around 60% for it which is a bit higher than we expected. We'll be tweaking the router and adding memory to it to improve it's performance. (Never ending work!) |
