Remember Glock, like most manufacturers, makes guns in production runs.  Not all of the models are always in production at the same time.  The distributors may simply be in between runs and therefor out of stock.

With that said.  I would think the 19 would almost always be in production considering the number they sell all over the world.

Why are we still saying "fun shop" and "shotty" ?

I think distribution is the problem at this point. Some wholesalers my be hoarding them.

bought a guy one last week, everybody was out of black G19 hi-cap fixed sight models but everybody still had every other combination

When I purchased my G19 (still in waiting period ) they only had one OD one (the one I bought) and a compensated one.  The owner had forgotten he still had the OD one (I guess they don't move fast around here... I actually prefered having an OD one), and then he quoted me a 4-6 week wait.

He only remembered the OD one when he went to look for the compensated G19 to show me (I didn't really want a compensated pistol in 9mm).

If Bushmaster ever comes out with a dissipator shotgun upper it will rip a hole in the space time continuum.

I had my dealer look for a G19 too, he said according to the distributors there are none to be had.  Not even models with 10-round mags.

I could go to Gander Mtn and pay MSRP.  But I think I can wait for the demand to drop off.

This happens with Glock from time to time, its not the first.  Two issues, as prior post said, Glock runs batches.  Not all models are in production all the time.  Probably just between runs.  Second, Glock gives priority to government contracts.  Possible they picked up a couple and are just behind.

Of all the panic buying nonsense I've heard lately, none of it related to G19's.  Sit tight, they'll turn up.

I bought an FNH FNP40 through them, great experience and shipped to my FFL the next day.
They have good prices on some stuff. I didn't check the EBR prices though.

None of the major distributors are hoarding anything. If anything it is the dealers and consumers.

The more they sell the more the order and get allocated from the manufacturers.

The problem is that most manufacturers were backed up several months way before this election craziness came in to play.

Now they are all chasing their asses trying to get product out to the dealers

Do you have Academy there? If so they carry Glocks and at normally good prices. If that store doesn't have it they can get one from their other stores.

I just bought a 30 and they had 19's in stock as well as other models.

My mom just picked one up in Michigan.

2 mags, laser grip and the gun for under $500.  Her BF bought a Glock 21 last week for around $500
