You know, I am not really concerned with the safety aspects. I am sure the shotgun is in patrol ready. (condition 3) whatever...
What pisses me off , and I mean REALLY pisses me off is how unprofessional this looks. Look and act presentable and respectable or get the hell out of the uniform! -Z edit: Haiti? Nevermind. Please disregard all of the above. |

Its possible its from South Africa. I dont think its from Haiti - I dont think they wear too many winter coats and hats that close to the Equator ;o)
I assumed it was DC or some place like that - but who knows. I also got at least one good pic of Italians pointing full auto machine guns into places where public people are constently walking by. When I organize everything I will post it. |

I don't have a pic (I don't think one exists) but a year or so back, during a safety briefing, an Instructor with the Arlington, TX PD was demonstrating why you should have blanks instead of live ammo in their weapons. The instructor fired his weapon at a CPL. as a demonstration. The Instructor forgot to swap out his ammo. He killed the CPL.

I got a few details wrong:
------------------------------------------- Corporal Joseph Cushman Arlington Police Department, TX Cause of Death: Gunfire (Accidental) End of Watch: June 7, 2001 Date of Incident: June 7, 2001 Age: 26 Tour of Duty: 4 yr Suspect Info: Not Available Weapon Used: Officer's handgun Corporal Cushman was accidentally shot and killed while performing training for a school shooting. A group of officers were conducting the training at a local junior high school when Corporal Cushman was shot in the head. All of the officers involved were wearing helmets and vests and supposed to be using rubber bullets. Corporal Cushman and a second instructor were demonstrating a drill to other officers when the other instructor's weapon discharged, striking Corporal Cushman in the head with a live round. The school year had already ended and no students were present during the training exercise.  |
