 This woman is about perfect... democrat... but EXCEEDINGLY conservative... pro-gun, voted for Reagan, praises President Bush. She is so squared away and on the money... but she is a lesbian... guess she won't be the future Mrs. Hiram.

I used to email her back and forth in the early and mid 90's when she had a talk show on KFI in Los Angeles. She and I would talk about issues of the day, and she was always particularly interested in my views as a U.S. Marine. She finally decided that I couldn't possibly be an average Marine because I didn't have a problem with her sexual preference and because I wasn't 100% in line with conservative politics. I guess she doesn't believe that there can be either (A) Democrats in the Corps (of which I'm NOT!) and (B) that there can be conservatives that have moderate views on specific issues. Regardless, she was always very funny, sweet, and genuinely nice in her emails to me, and in the few times I spoke with her on the phone.
I'm sure she's forgotten about me now... but it was neat talking to someone like her. |
