I'm considering trying it and I'm looking for opinions/experiences. I noticed that the website includes numerous disclaimers, interference with sat TV and alarms systems were specificaly listed.

I must be missing something here, but how in the world does a wired network device interfere with sat TV or an alarm system? News to me. |
Vonage is digital telephone. Not the same as POTS from the bells. So your Sat receiver modem might not work on the new digital system....same thing for home security systems.
I know of a few people using fax's over Vonage and it works fine. |
I know what it is, silly.
I guess I was hung up on the word "interfere". If you ditch your POTS service, then ya - I can see certain things being affected, like sat tv, certain DVR's, alarm systems, etc.
In my realm (paid VoIP dork), we install ATA devices or FXS ports in routers for analog devices like these (fax machines, or example). I guess Vonage isn't too confident in their ability to do the same? I really don't know, since I don't use Vonage.
