Looking for a decent app/software package. It's only going to be used for the occasional homework assignment and will just be copied into Microsoft word (unless the program is capable of directly transcribing into word).

No microphone as of yet, will buy one separately or as part of a software package. Not looking to break the bank in this one.

Thanks in advance.

My dad has Parkinson's, so we set him up with Dragon Naturally Speaking. Works great, even with his accent, but there are always a few 'quirks'.

If a person can type, typing is still way better, IMO. If not, Dragon it is.
