BAT.Batalia3<<< the infection name

Anyone ever had to deal with this one?

It created a folder called

C:/ System volume information under C: in windows explorer. can't do anything to get rid of it yet.

Very little information online.

Anyone else?
Anyone got the cure ?

A lot of the later infections also corrupt/infect your Restore files. I might not help to go back. Go to trendmicro.com and run their "House Call" See it it can help you out.

System volume information is a folder windows creates. That is where your system restore files are kept. There could be a virus inside it but I dont think the virus actually created that directory. Give yourself rights to look inside the folder and see what is in there.

Right click the folder and then click "properties". Then click on the "security" tab at the top.  Once there, click the "add" button and then  highlight "everyone" and click the "add" button below. Then click "ok". and close the properties box. then you should be able to look and see what is inside the folder.

Ok, I right clicked on it, and went to properties, but there's no security tab, only
general, sharing and customize. didn't see any security tabs under any of them.

thanks for the help .
