I hope Ingraham or really anyone runs instead of Fiorina. But Virginia Republicans have a history of picking shitty, unlikeable candidates to run for statewide offices.

Like what? The VA governorship is an off year election, 1 year after the presidential election. It and the NJ governor's race are pretty much the only show in town this year.

My FIL liked her, but that was before he really started listening to her. The more he listened, the more he was like "Is this woman sane?". In a way she reminds me of Ron Paul, all you had to do was shut up and let him talk and he'd defeat himself.

Me? I'm biased, I haven't liked her since her days at Lucent, and there's not a single thing under the sun she can say that will change my opinion at this point. I'd vote for her if the only other option was a democrat, but I'd expect her to be the exact same disaster in office as she was at Lucent and HP.

There are no perfect candidates out there, but the divide between what Republicans and Democrats stand for becomes clearer as liberals become more liberal. It is a bit away but there's no way I would vote for Tim Kaine.

There's also the matter of that sizable "transfer" of funds from a Cruz PAC to a Carly PAC that is allegedly hush money for the Cuban Mistress Crisis. I think she has a lot of dirty deeds in his past, honestly. However, she would be better than Kaine, I guess. I just can't imagine voting for her.

She is a recent transplant to VA. Hell she moved to DC after her failed CA senate bid in 2010 then in just the last 3 or 4 years moved to VA. And she still considers CA her residency since she made overtures to run for governor or senator in CA after getting spanked in the presidential primary. You can own a home somewhere but it doesn't mean you are from there or even know about the place.

She is the republican version of Hillary and will run where ever it is expedient for her. She can get bent.

And you know Bloomberg has been active in VA public matters too..... you want him running for office here?

George Allen is a nice guy with a beautiful and charming wife and not much else. He did great things for Virginia once upon a time, but that time is long past. He is politically dead and if we're lucky he'll stay dead. He will never ever recover from his Macacca moment and his absurd breakdown in front of the cameras when it was pointed out to him that he had Jewish ancestry. He would be destroyed in an election for dog catcher, let alone anything of actual political significance.
