A Virginia man is accused of covering virtually every surface in a motel room with petroleum jelly. A grand jury Thursday indicted Robert Chamberlain on a charge of felony criminal mischief in connection with last spring's incident. He was arrested after a cleaning crew discovered the television set, furniture, carpeting and everything else in Chamberlain's motel room had been slathered with petroleum jelly. Police found 14 empty Vaseline containers and numerous pornographic magazines in the room's trash can. Police said that when they tracked him down at a nearby motel, Chamberlain was covered from head-to-toe with the stuff. Damage to the motel room and its contents was estimated at more than $1,000. A manager at the Motel 6 said it took more than a month to clean up the mess. |

New carpeting is not cheap! Not to mention loss of revenue for not being able to use the room for a month. He may get confined and a civil suit will likely ensue. |

When I was a CO, if an inmate knew we were going to roll with him, he'd coat homself with the stuff beforehand just for that reason. |

Yep. I had a guy strip down to his boxers, cover himself in Vasaline, asualt his mother and brother, then run out onto his roof. Eventually shot him 5 times with the supersock, which didnt work. So we had to dog pile him. Yuck! I've heard the ad seg inmates in the local jail will flood their cells with soapy water, then wait in the back corner, if they know the guards are comming for them. |

Thats when you flood the cell with OC before entering. Of course,we didn't have OC back then, but its cut the legs right out from most inmates that want to fight nowadays. |
