Allrighty fellers, I need some advice here about fencing my back yard in.
I am moving into my new house next week and I need to get a fence up as soon as I can (to keep the dogs in) I see my options as traditional wood picket (or maybe a taller privacy type) fence or as I have been looking at today, a white vinyl picket fence. The deal with the vinyl is I don't have any idea how strong it is. Will it hold up to dogs jumping on it? will it crack when it gets down to 20 degrees this winter? How hard is it to put in? Do you just dig a hole, place upright in position and pour concrete like a traditional fence? Am I missing anything else?
Thanks for the help guys!

Well I have a nic wood picket fence right now and don't look foward to painting it.  However, it looks way better than anything vinyl has to offer.  You CAN notice a diff btwn quality wood and quality vinyl.

So in my mind, it's a compromise.  Looks vs maintenance.

I inherited the fence with the house.  If the choice were mine, I might go vinyl.
