What's up fellas?  My dad came across a mil. issue colt 1911 that one of his buddies carried in nam.  With as little info as this, do any of you kats have an idea of what this is worth?

The 1911 that my uncle carried in 'Nam was originally issued in WWII. Asking price can be be based on condition, original date of manufacture, accessories, etc. Value is what's in the heart. It ain't for sale at ANY price!

Is it parkerized?
You can check date of mfg. in the Blue Book.
Condition is everything!
The Blue Book will have photos to show you
how to grade condition.

Thanks guys.  I'll get that info and see what I can find out.  My dad said it looked brand new so I am thinking condition should be quite good.
