I really like this style rifle stand, but damn they cost a lot more than I expected, shouldn't be too hard to make.

If I'm reading this correctly:

BLACK WALNUT = $5.75 per inch of Stand Length + 15 gun 45-1/2" = $262.00
FOR SCOPED GUNS, ADD $12
All Prices Plus $20.00 Shipping & Packaging

Total = $294.00

I've been thinking about making a rack like that to put in the shallow sliding door closet in my study. I don't think it would be very hard to just whip something out with some boards and a few saws. Dad also got a table saw recently... I could put it to some good use!

Alot depends on the wood.

Oak is a relativly inexpensive hardwood,
whereas Teak, Cherry, or Walnut is going to be MUCH more
expensive.
