I need some input on Vacuums for large spaces. I run a 8,000sq foot gym and I constantly have my guys vacuuming. Who makes stronger vacuums that won't crap out after a month of regular use?

I've seen this model in many places I've traveled.

In order to give a proper answer, you'll need to provide some detail...
Like type of carpet, CGD (commercial glue down)
What type of contaminate are you having to try and get up?
Are you just going for appearance cleaning?

The solutions for each can be varied, and based on use I'm guessing basic vacuuming is not going to provide you what you're looking for.

(One of the businesses we own is a commercial carpet cleaning operation)

Based on experience with CGD(if that's what you have) in such an environment, my first suggestion would be a backpack-vac for daily cleaning.

Then a CRB machine running dry for weekly cleaning, the CRB can also be used to Encap clean say biweekly or monthly. Most likely you need appearance cleaning of traffic lanes and where the  sweaty people plop down, something a simple vac will not resolve.

The owners will likely swing for a proper backpack vac, but a CRB machine might be a stretch, which means you'll have to farm that out to a CCer.

Awesome information. The carpeted area is square pieces of a very short a tough material. Most of what it would be sucking up is dirt, hair, dust ect. The problem I keep running into is overheating. Here's a picture from before everything went in of carpetAttachment Attached File

Yea that looks CGD tiles or sections.
You want a simple backpack vac.
We give our guys Powerflites and have had good luck with them, most are 5+ years old, we also have a couple ProTeam we picked up in a buyout.

Do not get a cordless, they suck and battery replacement costs $$$

These types do not have powerheads (beater bars) but you do not need them with CGD as it is designed to 'float' the dirt on top. Also because CGD does not have a pile there is no 'give' and it will wear the brushes and burn up motors.

If the owners are willing to invest up front, buy a CRB machine. It will cost a few thousand up front but you can encap as needed and save in the long run versus paying a carpet cleaner. The place will also look better throughout the year if you encap at regular intervals, this is called 'appearance cleaning' and is what CGD was designed for.

Your Problem Solved:  The Best Backpack Vac Made

The power of this vacuum is great; it is super easy and convenient to use because you carry the unit, it's not in your way; wire is long enough. Bag capacity is great. It really is not expensive at all considering how many cheaper units will break while this keeps running.  I like the ProTeam Commercial Backpack so much, I bought one for home use years ago.

You need a commercial vac.

U-Line should be able to sell you something with a huge margin on it.

You have CGD carpet in your house?

If you don't then a backpack vac is one of the poorest choices. Aside from banging up your walls, furniture, etc, and being horrific to try and drag across pile...they are very poor performers on residential carpet. Which should be obvious as they were designed specifically for CGD and similar older styles.

For residential carpet Sebo is hands down the best performer crossed with durability and ease of use.

Sebo Airbelts are their top shelf models, then not far behind are their uprights.

Last one I bought was a 50 hp model from these guys.  Gets the ever living shit beat out of it in a primary steelmaking facility and takes it like a champ.  Not cheap though..
