Speedometer, tachometer, temperature, turnsignal/hazard lights indicator, battery, seatbelt, highbeams and (lower cluster) voltage and oil temp indicators all work....
Tank, oxygen sensor test, odometer/tripmeter don't work.
Now I couldn't care less about the odometer/tripmeter, and the tank gauge, well, it's just a bit bothersome, but I tried to pass the Colorado emissions test yesterday, and they failed my 1984 US-GTi because if the stupid oxygen sensor is allegedly supposed to turn red briefly when you're starting the car.
Checked the fuses in the block below the dash, tried a different instrument cluster, same results, so it's not that either. The oxygen sensor (IMHO) is obviuosly working since I passed the actual emissions test just fine (lower quarter of the allowed limits on all readings.

In any weird electrical problem, I always suspect bad grounding.

Do you have access to "current-flow" diagrams (what normal people would call wiring diagrams) of the system?

Thanks, man, I'll need it. Just got a call from somebody who has figured out that the stupid "Oxygen Sensor Light" is NOT supposed to come on at all. Sumfabitches! They should have given me the sticker the first time.

Now I'll figure out why the tank display doesn't work, but that's merely an annoyance.
