I'm sure this poll was posted earlier, but there's a twist.

The poll is all screwed up.  I filled it out and submitted it.  Then I hit the back button and resubmitted it.  It registers over a hundred votes each time.  I kept doing this and in just a couple of minutes I raised the tally .5%  Vote early.  Vote often.

To speed things up, just clicking 'Refresh' after the inital vote will do the same thing as using the back button

Open four windows. that way you don't have to wait for votes to be submitted.

There are 500 new votes every minute.  Someone's hitting this thing hard and it's  not us.

WTF. This is the same survey that was started sometime this last week, but it says it was just started today! She probably didn't like the results from first one and is doing it over.

NVM, more like 500 new votes every 30 seconds.

The poll is either rigged, or every soccermom in the US it hitting it at the same time.

Its definitely rigged.  Too bad none of the news outlets would print this...  How did it go from 99%+ pro gun down to under 24% in 4 days?  Even with all of DU hitting it, we are still hitting it hard

I am working on the numbers right now.  Apparently somebody on the "anti" side has setup a robot to continuously respond.  I have done the same now using two Unix servers

Anyone who has access to a Unix/Linux server that has the "POST" command installed can run the following Bourne shell script and that will help the numbers:

#!/bin/sh
while `true`
do
POST "http://www.house.gov/susandavis/survey/htbin/formproc/susandavis/survey/survey_rtr_october_2004.txt&display=/susandavis/survey/survey_result_october_2004.htm" <<EOF
dummy=dummy+field&question1=yes&question2=no&question3=no&question4=overreaching
EOF
done

Makes me wish I had a unix server available.

I've tested it. If you vote "yes" on #1, it gives you a couple (about 30) votes, but it also gives a close number (about 20) of votes to "no" and works the same way on the other questions.

It's a race!!

By my scientific calculations (I counted all my wiley marm0t hairs), the current activity reflects:

6.21 antigun-votes / sec

7.18 progun-votes / sec

Way to hit it guys!!

I have seven update streams running simultaneously against the site.  Unfortunately there is alot to catchup.  I wish I had access to a botnet.  Could throw several thousand hits at a time against it.

None of you people know how to do fool anybody convincingly.

When she looks at SEVENTEEN THOUSAND VOTES, all for "we need to roll back gun laws" she's going to say "oh my poll got bombed".

I CANNOT BELIEVE I am the only one voting "I am satisfied with our current gun laws" (No, I am not, but it makes my results a LOT more convincing).  However , as it stands,  only .1% of people have answered that, in contrast with .3% of people who say "we need more gun laws".

*Sigh*

You know she isn't going to believe this shit guys -- you need to make it look like these anti-awb comments come from an average joe (who would NOT say roll back gun laws, but rather that they are satisfied with the way things are).

Oh well.
