The wife of the couple called the Mrs today. We have not heard from these folks since January. They seperated and are getting a divorce. Turns out (according to her) that the hubby was caught having an affair with one of his co-workers.

On this surface this defies logic,  you engage in partner swapping but divorce your partner because they sleep with somone else.

I guess it's about the deceit.

Seems reasonable. There was no swap.

I guess it's about the deceit.

I wonder if he had told the wife about it at the beginning, would she have cared.

This is no surprise. It was predicted by a lot of posters in the original thread.

Jeez, who saw this coming?  If you don't really believe in the sanctity and commitment of marriage failure is just a matter of time.

Cheating is not acceptable within the realm of swingers/swappers - or Police, or Teaching, or Preaching.  Cheating is just that - cheating, and is mutually exclusive to the subject of swinging.

It does make for good gossip fodder.

Not surprising if he was running around behind her back. All marriages are based on trust, swingers or not.

All you hear about are the swingers that end up like this, you don't hear about the others that have no problems..........................

Swinging isnt all that good for most marriages.
Single is the way to be if you want multiple partners.
I have seen this a few times now.

hell they wouldn't be getting divorced if he'd just invited her along for the ride.

I've seen more than a few marriages end that didn't involve swinging, but you're right most marriages can't take it. Not that that proves anything, most marriages can't survive anything anymore.
