What the hell is the syntax for administering ACL's through the CLI?
The only way I can do it currently is through the GUI web interface.

What a horrible nightmare to configure extensive ACL's

Anyone know what Im talking about?

I'm not the NEC guy on my team. I'll show this to our VoIP girl who knows a lot of CLI and see what she can come up with.

That would be extremely cool!

If she is familiar with the Univerge controllers, ask her if there is a way to copy and paste an ACL in CLI like with any typical Cisco device...I am just looking for a way to easily copy the currently applied ACL, paste into say 'notepad', edit to add whatever I need, and then copy and paste the updated ACL back into the CLI of the controller....so far I cant find any way to accomplish this.

Thanks for anything you can find out!

Are you reviewing the config ??

If you do a show say in hyper term then you can copy from there into word pad.

Make changes copy and paste it into your cli engine.

I use Procomm plus I cant stand hyper term but most use it because it comes with windows.

email me if you have other questions

The issue I have is that the ACL's show up in a tabular format in the config.
They arent simple, clean, line by line entries like you would find in a router or a firewall.

NEC has these really ugly table format ACL's in the Univerge gear....I can copy them, but it would be like pasting an excel spreadsheet into the CLI...doesnt work.
