Has some good Fajita's but the company is better than the food!

I had a good time eatin' with the DFW and some of the Austin crew.

It was good to get to meet some of you that I had not had the pleasure of meeting until today!

Thanks guy's and I look forward to doing it again in the future!

Did you try their queso? (sp?) It used to be truly excellent! Can't get anything close to it up here!
Link Posted: 9/25/2004 8:34:39 PM EST
I didn't try the queso but I did try the dip!

It was only about 180 miles for us to get there and it was worth it!

You missed out on some good food and some great company!

I didn't see anybody not eating!

With ETH talking the whole time I can't figure out how he ever got a chance to eat anything!

8 AM? Heck the show started at 9 AM so you could have made it!

As long as you let someone else drive you would have been OK!

Yep. Hate I missed the get-together.

But my traveling compainions wanted to actually spend our time at the Gun Show. They're kinda crazy about that.

Maybe next time.

I thought they were talking about ETH's margarita's!

That was the smallest margarita I have even seen!

Good to see y'all again, and even better to FINALLY put a few more faces with well known board names!

Y'all COULD come on down to Austin sometime... The local show is only about 1/10th the size of the Market Hall show, but we can still get some darn good eats!!!

Enjoyed meeting and greeting each and every one of you mother's sons.

Brother Old_Painless, you are as very fine a gentleman in real life as you are on this Board!

Just as I expected!

Come visit us at Gunstock in the next several weeks and then at the Hun Farm this Fall or Winter!

Each and every one of y'all are most welcome to come.

ETH,
I had noticed that you were many pounds lighter!
If you keep losing weight you will need to get a new Marpat Flecktarn jacket!

Seeing Legs driving you around reminded me of "History of the World Pt. I"!

Which 9/10th's is missing?
All the beanie babies, the beef jerky guy's, the ex-Seals, the MARPAT warriors or some other 'gun show' group?

Naw, there is an over abundance of beanie babies, beef jerky guy's, ex-Seals, and MARPAT warriors down here. Unfortunately the event organizer (SAXET) doesn't segregate those types of vendors away from the vendors who make a gun show a gun show like the folks at Market Hall do.

I made my best deal of the day across from the largest display of beanie babies I've seen in a while.

I was all pumped up for that earlier this year, but it fell through for reasons I don't remember. But NOW is the BEST time of year for camping in Central Texas, and if folks are interested in camping at Enchanted Rock then I will be happy to assist in any way I can. There is only 1 open weekend between now and Gunstock 10/6-8 (10/2 is the RO class, and 10/15-17 is GS...) 10/22-24, and possibly the BEST one would be HALLOWEEN weekend 10/29-31.

Whadday'all think????

So we don't hijack this thread, click here if you would like to camp at Enchanted Rock.

The Beanie Babies may scare away all but the most seasoned gun show vets!
