Sweet. I was thinking of getting one also. What does it weigh? They look kinda heavy.
Yep it's almost an exact copy. Mine even says Franchi on it. Yep, I'm sofa king we todd did |
What do you think sold me on it. You have a trunk gun, I have a closet gun. (no, it's not "in the closet" ) |
Just bought enough lowers to go with all of my uppers. Now I need another safe. |
Hey... when you can't get a Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40 watt range, nothing else will do! |
With the stock extended, you place the hook under your forearm. This allows you to shoot it one handed while hiding behind a riot shield or such. Kinda cool purpose built feature, but the gun is a bit heavy for that. (either that or I'm a pu$$y) |
Firing one-handed on the movie sets, IIRC. |
Sharpen it up and use it for fishing. |
Now that would be a big fish! |
Congrats!
I almost bought one with the same stock about 12 years ago at a gun show. The governator used one in the first Terminator film. "That's Italian...you can go pump, or auto." Nothing new for me in the past few months. I'm going to buy a 1911 (my first!) from the Colt custom shop very soon, I hope. Scott |

I bought one of those SPAS12's when they first came into the country. They were a fun gun for a bit. Heavy as hell, would only fire reliably on semi auto with 00 buck high brass loads.
Sold it for a very handsome profit after the '86 import ban. |
That was a steal. |
I had one of those when they first came out and was very disappointed. It just was not reliable so I got rid of it at a gunshow.
Very cool addition; I have one and love it. Very reliable for me, and always gets asked about when I take it to the range.
Looks like the older "lever-stlye" safety on it? There was a recall on them for ADs, but I've never had it occur - I just use the quick safety in front of the trigger. |
I just bought a Kimber Ultra CDP.
Someday I'll get a SPAS 12 if I can ever find one. I haven't seen one in person for years. |
Yep. I already knew about that. What's a safety for anyways? The guy that runs www.spas12.com said that the lever safeties can be converted. I'm trying to pry the info out of him right now. Kris |
Exactly the website I was getting ready to add; If you wouldn't mind - could you let me know if you get a decent response from him? It's never been an issue, but would be interested in how complex it is. From experience; take some advil if you plan on shooting it for any length of time - The steel stock and a 100 or so slugs leave a cool bruise |
I hate you. |
I guess you can work on your Austrian accent. "Did somebody call shotgun?" or "Back in Austria, we had a saying... die or be terminated." |
around 1K seems reasonable |
Good for you, bro!!! You only go around once, and you can't take it with you. Nice grab, and remember........"He who dies with the most toys (guns) wins."!!! |
No, he who doesn't die probably had the most guns. |
I had one of those for awhile and then replaced it with a USAS-12.
Just picked up a 20" Rem 870 Magnum SP last week. Clint |
I want a USAS12 and a Street Sweeper also. Isn't the USAS registered as a DD? |
Both are DD's. Forget the Street Sweeper. If you want that style, try to find a Striker 12. Select-fire,drum-fed USAS-12's are more fun, though. |
Banned because of the Sporting Use clause. The alphabet bunch (or AG, not sure) didn't think they were a "sporting use" firearm, so they were banned from importation. Even though SPAS stands for Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun. |
What's the diff between the Stiker and the Street Sweeper? |
not alot I thnik the streetsweepers had 18in barrels strikers were 12" USAS 12s are cooler like a giant AR15 edit did a search strikers were clockwork actions to spin the cly streetsweepers were manual rotation and did not have to wound |
Cause it is fun. No, seriously. |
That, and they would be able to be effectly deployed in event of a Government uprising. |
