Ubuntu should let you look at Windows shares out of the box assuming the other end is set up correctly.

Check out documentation on Samba to set up Windows shares on your Ubuntu box.

Try to get adobe's flash player if you can. I recommend searching for it through synaptic rather than downloading the package from adobe's website. Wine might work for a lot of Windows programs, but it's far from perfect. Give it a shot anyway.

Get ready to put some time in getting Samba working the way you want to.

HUH??

It's simple!!!

The easiest way to do it is to create a folder to be shared then right click and select "sharing options" it will next install samba now just configure the sharing options via the window that popped up and your done.
