HOLY CRAP this hurts. I thought I was getting better but yesterday everything started to hurt. Now my head feels like it is in a vice and being squeezed. My ears are aching. I just called the MD and he said this is normal. Usually one day of day 6-10 is the worst. There are nerves behind the tonsils that were irritated by the dissection and now they are coming back to life.
Now I now why he gave me a prescription for 120 7.5 mg hydrocodone. At first I didn't think I'd ever use that many. Now I'm not so sure. Oh, and man I have some bad breath.

Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty
It cuts away the soft palate, uvula, and tonsils. I also had a deviated septum done. But that was nothing. It was to get rid of my snoring. I snored REALLY bad. |

Did he give you a viscous lidocaine rinse? If not, ask him, it will help alot, and you can do it frequently. You have a numb mouth and throat, but the upside is good relief.
