I'd like to buy a bushmaster m4a3 for my b-day.  I live in No.Va.  Where would be the best place to look for one?

Should i try my luck and try to find one at the gunshow in bealton tomarrow?  Its an hour drive for me though, so i'd be pissed if i couldn't find one.

I called blue ridge arsonel and they said they only have parts kits, or something.  So i'd probably have to build it.

I could also go to potomac arms, but they don't open till tuesday, and have high prices.

I know the NRA headquarters is nearbye, do they sell guns too?

Any advice on where i should go?

Don't be in a rush.  I know it is important that whenn you turn 18 you get a gun in your name.  But wait for the right one.  And also REGISTER TO VOTE.

It's also important to use spell check if you haven't been paying attention in school.

Edd2016: Happy bday!

Have you look in our EE for something. I would also recommend taking your dad or a friend along etc, to get the best possible deal. Being this is your FIRST you could overlook some important details. Let us know what you end up with. Good luck! I hope you're going to pay "cash on the barrel head" right?

When I turned 21, I was more excited about being able to buy handguns than I was about being able to buy alcohol.

Yeah guys, if he hadn't already registered to vote he couldn't now, so why the rush?

Congrats on thinking ahead, BTW.

I turned 18 a few months before the 2000 presidential elections.  I thought then, and still feel now, that it was an honor to cast my first vote ever for Bush.

Dont be in such a rush, youll just get ripped off. Do your research, and when you find a deal on what you want, then purchase. Signing the papers on your birthday isnt worth paying double for a weapon.

Sheesh, when I turned 18, Johnson was still president. Had different thing to worry about back then.
One word of advice, "plastics".

I would strongly recommend www.aimsurplus.com.  I've bought a few guns and lots of ammo from them, and they have never disappointed me.

You can get a no-ban for $720.

And of course you have to get an SAR-1.  Those are $280.

You know what they say here at ARFCOM.  "Get 'em both!"

Congrats on your birthday man! If you really want to buy an AR, give Bernie at Virginia Arms a call. He probably has something in stock and will give you the best price for this area.

Blue Ridge Arsenal is a rip off.

Potomac Arms will flat out ignore you if you aren't like 40 years old or older.  High prices too.

Check out Virginia Arms in Manassas.  Great place, very friendly staff, always eager to help.  Very willing to do out of state transfers as well($20 per gun).  They always have a nice selection of black rifles too.  Best gun shop that I have found in NOVA.  www.virginiaarms.com

  Happy 18th Ed.

Step into the dark side and get an AK47. AK is half the price of an AR and so is the ammo.

For the price of an AR, you could get a AK-47 and a Remm. 870 shotgun.
