Can you get a nuisance permit from ODNR?

I got one Saturday morning, big guy with a 9" beard. He's going to be delicious when I fry him up later this week

I took my 10 year old son out for the youth day Saturday, he got a shot at a longbeard at 30 yards after calling 3 of them in to our dekes.

He got a couple things... the bottom edge of my blind window, and a sapling about the size of my pinky finger that just happened to be in line with the big gobbler's head and neck. The sapling was about 5 yards away.

The gobbler flew away unharmed.

I'm guessing the sapling screwed up the pattern just enough to give the old bird a reprieve.

Wild turkeys taste like cow shit around here.....cause that's what they enjoy picking through. I'll stick with my grocery store butterball.

Man if I lived up that way I'd fill out all may tags for you. Near impossible finding private land with birds to hunt around here.

One of the hunters is a member here but he was only out one day. I had a couple other guys show up on different days and nobody saw a thing.

I hope someone gets a bird, these things are hard on corn crops.

Hummmm...I'll have to look into that.

A friends father in law has a large orchard in Stark Co. He was getting damage from deer. ODNR gave him a permit to take 8 deer of any sex, night or day by any type of firearm. I must say, shooting deer at night with a spotlight and a .300 Win Mag may not be sporting, but it's fun, and the freezer gets filled quickly.

Trap them and bring them up here. I haven't found a turkey yet this year that wasn't on posted land.
