Might be good....... premiers 11/30/11
Silver Spring, MD)- Former Army Ranger and Air Force Pararescueman Wil Willis hosts Military Channel's newest look inside the history of modern warfare in TRIGGERS: WEAPONS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD. Combining history, science, technology and revealing demonstrations, this cutting-edge series examines the evolution of firearms and how the development of each one changed the face of combat forever.

TRIGGERS explore battle rifles from the musket to the modern day sniper rifle, submachine guns, artillery, and even the AK-47, a Cold War creation also known as the single most deadly firearm in history. The series also looks at the Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), known as the AK-47 of rockets. This episode traces hand-fired rockets from their origin centuries ago as ancient Chinese projectiles to the new kid on the block, the Swedish-made AT-4.

I enjoyed that show - they only made one season though (6 episodes). It's on Netflix for those who haven't seen it.

It was pretty good. At least you could watch it and respect the people in the show, unlike the current "gun shop" reality shows.

I was reffering to Special Ops Mission. They made one season, aired in August & September 2009 and they only showed 6 episodes.

Thank you. I passed it on to him. We spent last Friday removing the barrel from his PPS-43 to put a blank firing adapter in it. He did a WW2 Western Front reenactment last weekend in South Carolina. He turns 19 this coming Monday. I am hoping he can make a career out of this stuff. History is his passion.

We watch the Patriot, and he tells me all the things that are historically incorrect about it. And I think its a great movie...

So do I.

Tell the little shit we old pharts just want to be entertained.

J/K

Tell your son to keep up the good work. Sadly, to many prefer an X-Box over learning true History.

It's scary, the number of FTFs those old guns had. I would hate to go into a fight with something that probably has a 20% chance of not working.

M1 Garand on @ 10:00
first episode 1911 on now
Link Posted: 12/7/2011 5:13:33 PM EST
For someone who has his background, he talked about being "stoked" about the 1911 and "stoked" about the Garand an awful lot.

He seems to be surprised at their power and I would think that someone with his background would have at least heard about both and their power.

Show kinda turned into Top Shot in the end there

My friend

He knows all to well. You must realize that he must act as a "Go Between" for the audience that is uninformed.

basic herp derp on the weapons.

I watched the 'assault weapon' show. I found it cool. The Seal that did the AR vr AK drill looked like he could take care of himself.
