Tried this in BOS with no reply, thought I'd try here.

I have heard that in Texas that you do not need a ccp if you are a traveling saleman traveling more than 3 counties out.

Anyone heard of this or are they blowing smoke??

Blowing smoke. Texas used to have a "traveling" exception to the prohibition against carrying a handgun.Never specifically applied to salesmen, or specified three counties. However, this exception was abolished when the concealed carry law passed. Just looked it up.
