I asked the guy at the BMW Driving School how long the Conti's on their track cars lasted.

He said 1,000 miles.

Boring video; but to answer your question, roughly $550 each for OEM. Depending on where you buy them.

Dollar for dollar   just best sports car in the world.    it plays and even eats cars 10 times it's cost.     I would like to see a smaller 4 cyl. mini vet.

Pontiac Solstice... RIP

When I had a performance car back in 2004ish it was about $1,000 for a set of good performance tires.

In my younger days I might have done a dry pavement doughnut or two in my sweet ass Firebird while rocking a Bud Light out the window "F-yah" style.  And you are absolutely correct in saying it was redneck nirvana, with mass approval from my redneck buddies.  You knew you were done when there was so much smoke nobody could see the car anymore.  Best done on a day with no wind.

Dry pavement doughnuts are so much better than straight line burnouts.  Once you step up to them a plain old burnout is lame.

IIRC, Road and Track or Car and Driver or somebody ran one a year or two ago against other cars and didn't like it. Said it threw you around  the track and the one guy slammed his head off the door window twice in a turn.

They liked the Mustang BOSS better.

That's powerbraking.

Hit the rev limiter, sidestep the clutch, shift as needed.
