I like the song "good enough" off a recent record.

I think he does shows still.

I remember my old man looking at a picture of Tom Petty (he had no idea who Petty was) and said, "that guy looks like he could eat beans out of a ketchup bottle."

I've never been able to look at poor old Tom without thinking about that remark.

I like how he'd always go to a dive bar in Gainesville the night before a show and do a freebie for his hometown.

That is an awesome slam, but what does it mean? Lol

I like Tom Petty. I also like the what he said about the current state of pop music, when they were inducted into the RRHoF.

Tom Petty's daily routine;

Get up
Smoke pot
Go back to bed

The man's life is proof that pot smoking makes you a unmotivated liberal.

Kind of like the old saying"She looks like she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose"?

I'm a fan. Given his perpetually laid back demeanor, I was surprised at how energetic he was live - really a great showman on stage.

I think it was a reference to Tom's rather narrow face and maybe slightly buck teeth, you know, like he could get his face in a ketchup bottle.

+1 He most recent shark jump is when he said he regrets using the battle flag
in the late 70s.  Honestly, I was shocked he even REMEMBERED any part
of that decade.

I can't stand his voice.  He sounds like he has a permanent stuffed up nose when he sings.
