Christmas will soon be here. Here's a good recipe for high protein egg nog shakes that I invented this morning.
In a blender, put:
4 egg whites (I use Jumbo eggs)
Skim milk to fill it to the 4-cup line
4 scoops vanilla flavored whey protein
Nutmeg to taste
Then blend it up.
Usually, it takes about 3 cups of milk to get to 4 cups total.
So we're looking at 148g of protein in the 4 cups of liquid. Not bad at all. If you really got the Christmas spirit, try adding some green or red food coloring.
Obviously, you're eating raw eggs, so if that bothers you, don't try this recipe.
