Today, at the local 7-11 I actually heard a youngster say 'Cheese it, the cops!'(clerk had apparently called the LEOs on them for being some kind of PITA)

That saying was old when I was a boy, and my dad once told me that he had heard it since he was little.

What other sayings are timeless?

How about something for the grammar nazis?

Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."

Only when it is used as a noun, i.e., "He's such a jackoff". Otherwise, it's a verb.

God, they probably should have. Either that or a dark sweatshirt and a snap brim cap.

i think the word "Cool" has been the most timeless slang term ever. it's as widely in use with my 5yo cousin's generation as with my generation (i'm 22) as with my dad and grandfather's generations
