Yeah, I read it that way too. And it does suck. IIRC the white rhino is the most endangered rhino. I'm wondering if maybe the answer, as some say, is to encourage hunting so that hunters support the population. I'm thinking no though, because poachers don't want to kill the rhino so they can say they killed a rhino. They just want the horn/$$$. Maybe a surgical removal program would be the best option.

They shoot poachers who fuck with Big Game species that are hunted. You do the math. No bullshit, the game warden my dad met in Zim had 8 kills on his .303

You monetize the value of animals with good game managment and you get lots of game. Look at the deer population in the US. The deer population is HUGE comapred to 100 years ago. That is because of good game management and the outlaw of commercial hunting. If the native popluation of Africa looked at these species as a resource to be protected rather then some pain in the ass that competed with thier livestock you would not have any poachers.

Open a no limit hunting season a poachers.
