jmho the fact this could pass congress, the white house and be backed by the SCOTUS tells me the "republic" has been dead for a few years.

Even if you put Romney in the White House and get a majority of Republicans in both the House and Senate I don't see this going anywhere. It can be spun any number of ways why it's good for you and neither party would voluntarily give up that much power over the populace.

A goodish portion of the 60% opposition is because of the widely reported viewpoint the law would not survive. Americans like to be on the winning side. Now that its survived court scrutiny, it will be 60:40 in the other direction soon. Fuck. |

There are alot of States who simply will not participate in Obamacare if their cost analyses say it is too expensive.
Many States will opt out............Michigan likely being one of those States. That will hurt this commie entitlement plan. We'll have to wait until November..........there are so many parasites in our country, I don't have much confidence, but i hope I am wrong. Plus there have been so many exemptions allowed by the Administration for their big union supporters, etc., that this entire plan is dishonest at its core. Remember Congress has exempted itself from this plan. Yet, almost 50 percent of the electorate still supports this abysmal plan. Like I said, I do not have much confidence but I hope I am wrong. |
