Looking for different ways or strategies to teach my 8 yo his basic multiplication.

So I start typing in google, "best way to teach...... .."

First thing that pops up.

How? How does it know? I have not searched this before.

We were doing a homework sheet last night but it didn't involve my phone or anything. It was all on paper.

I think I may be triggered.

They probably assume that a person would much rather be seeking. "best way to teach multiplication" and not "best way to teach quantum mechanics"

Even if users get the same results on some queries, it's still in their UELA that they will listen in using your camera to increase user experience, and to sell reverse marketing data to Oracle bluekai.

It's also in Facebook's mobile ~~licensing~~ experience agreement.

Google listens. A coworker and I were discussing Lay's Sriracha flavored chips. We went to look up something music related for a customer (was working at a music store at the time) and boom, there in the Google ads was Lay's Sriracha chips. Spooky....oooh.

Yeah, they listen in.

I've had game of thrones pop up as suggested youtube videos. I don't like game of thrones, but I did talk about it with a friend (who couldn't believe I don't watch it

) and that's when it popped up.

Maybe coincidental, but it seems just as likely that they do what other companies have been caught doing.

Any device that is using telemetry or "OK, Google" is listening all the time. Also chrome was flagged previously as highjacking the camera on your phone.

You can disable "OK, Google", and later Android devices can restrict Facebook's access to your camera's microphone.

There are more than a few things that will listen to you via your phone and other devices.

The only good thing about this is that Clinton leaned on some of this info heavily during her last campaign - with some help from Google - and it failed miserably.

I give Art Bell credit. Years ago, he said that he would intermittently say "kilo" when speaking on the phone. (Did any one speak more on the phone than Art Bell?).

He said it was one of the keywords NSA depended on.

Not sure what the keyword would be today, perhaps "liberty"?

Google actually listens and stores your conversations if you don't have it turned off. So if you were talking about it by your phone it heard you and stores it.
