in reply #7 he says he ducked a suppressed 9mm when he heard the hammer and that's why he didn't get hit.

Maybe he was talking about the cocking of the hammer?

It was while he was a Navy SEAL during his classified training mission that he earned his CMOH from  (shhh...)

[arfcomm]Why would you duck a 9mm? It'll just bounce off.[/arfcomm]

9mm is super-sonic isn't it?  Unless he heared something else... the bullet would have been there either as the sound arrived or hundreths of a second later.  Simple bull shit.

147 grain 9mm are sub-sonic and made for suppressed shooting.

That's a movie I'd like to see remade with today's special effects.  Of course, it'd have to be more like the book.

No no, he felt the rush of air in front of the bullet, before he heard it.  That was hen he ducked.

By the way, leave him alone.  He is a plant, trying to make The Dumbass Undergrounders believe that 9mm's are harmless.  So, when Congress gets to passing a law okaying Democrat hunting season...  Well, you figure out the rest.

Interesting....  To avoid the sonic boom.  Ok so we'll give him a few hundredths more and I still say BS.  No way you hear the hammer drop, percieve it's meaning and take appropriate action before the bullet arrives at handgun range.  Maybe if you heard the hammer being cocked.  What assasin carries his silenced weapon and then proceeds to cock the hammer just before shooting at close range?

They must have been using a delisle carbine rechambered in 9mm with a hammer added since the "assassin" didnt bother firing a second shot.  Or the assassin was barney fife.

No problem, anyone who's had at least 2 hours if Sinanju training can do it.

As my Dad told me as we watched some action flick when I was a kid.

"In real life, you don't dodge bullets. You get lucky. Once."
