Just like you, I don't want a "breed of peace" dog with my kid.

I'm bumping this one up -- what a cutie. Surely someone in Arfland wants this dog.
Link Posted: 4/30/2015 7:54:13 PM EDT
Terrance is still waiting for some Arfcom love.
Link Posted: 4/30/2015 7:57:55 PM EDT
Good looking dog. 7 months in the kennel? Read between the lines. He's dog/pet aggressive.
Link Posted: 4/30/2015 8:29:43 PM EDT
I have 2 dogs now or I would take him. 1 was almost put to sleep at the local shelter saw him on Facebook and went
and go him. The other was a starving stray that showed up at my work and felt sorry for her. Both are great dogs. I will talk
around and see if I can find a home for the one near Austin.
Link Posted: 4/30/2015 8:34:01 PM EDT
my pound hound has been a great dog
when we asked how much to adopt her they told us she was on death row and if we wanted her she was free
we have had her a year. she has her moments but she is getting there.

Bump.

If you cant trust it around your baby it should be put down.

OP doesn't know the dog to trust it or not, and you're talking out your ass.

Apparently you missed my point, if you cant trust a dog around a child that dog needs to be put down. End of story.

The OP specifically said he didn't trust any new dog. Read.

Bump

Being in a shelter for 7 months has nothing to do with being aggressive. Having volunteered in shelters for more than 5 years now I can tell you aggressive dogs get put down almost immediately. His long tenure means he's been continually passed over for younger, or cuter, or [insert adjective here] dogs. He looks like a sweet boy, it would be terrible for him to be put down for no reason other than space.

Oh, and for the thread shitters, GTFO, this is about saving this animal's life.
Link Posted: 4/30/2015 10:32:44 PM EDT
Looks like he wants to snuggle
Link Posted: 4/30/2015 10:37:27 PM EDT
Awe... What a good looking dag.

If I had the space for another death dealing, "breed of piece" dog, I'd get him in a moment.

Good looking pup. I'd take him if I wasn't already full up.

Hope he finds a home soon.

Bumping for Terrance. Hope he finds a good home!

Not trying to shit in your thread. The write up indicates to me he is pet aggressive. And I am involved in pit/rottie rescue.

Try staying in your lane as you clearly don't know how to drive in this one. *click*

OP, best of luck finding this dog a new home.

While I only live about 4 miles from the shelter, I already have 4 dogs and a 1 cat. I'm afraid we are full.

I'm sure that's a sweet pup, but owning one would be akin to sticking your dick in a cheese grater and hoping no one cranks the handle.

It's not the dogs fault, it's the breed.

I hope someone who has a proper home can get that pup and give it a good life.

Pitties are generally good dogs. I wish I could take Terrance in, but I am full of fur. Red Nosed Pitbulls are the healthiest Pit Bulls in my experience.

The dog deserves a chance

It's a pretty good looking dog and i generally don't find that in this breed

I like the circle of brown around his eye ....

Link Posted: 5/1/2015 10:10:06 PM EDT
Bump for the little guy, praying he finds a home. It sucks that that breed is stereotyped by the few who train them to fight vs. the many that deserve love like any other animal.
Link Posted: 5/2/2015 9:36:00 AM EDT
Honestly, I would take him, but there are clues in the description that makes me think he isnt friendly to other dogs. I have a dog now and don't want her hurt.

He would love to be your one and only dog. Plus, when you have as much love as Terrance can give - no additional pets required.
