Quote History Quoted: M 4006 was definitely not an example to be proud of. Certainly not state of the art. A real jammomatic, sent it back to S&W and even they couldn't fix it. Had no choice but to get rid of it. ETA: I've owned three S&W autos, and only one has been reliable, a 1911. When it comes to revolvers S&W wins hands down. But for autos, Glock is still the "state of the art".

Great nightstand or range gun, but nicknamed the boat anchor for a reason. Respectfully disagree. This one is as smooth shooting and accurate as a 9mm can be, and we're blessed to have a safe full of examples of most all modern handguns, steel and polymer. I have a really old 6906 that, in say 20 years of trips to the range, has NEVER jammed, even when we fucked around and limp-wristed it.
