This is the Morita from Starship Troopers.  .223 on top (Mini 14) and 12 gauge underneath (Ithaca 37).  I read that they made several working models for the movie.  Sounds like a Home Defense Special, as long as it's not Airsoft.  Could make a nice little garage workshop project. [;)]

Yep.  Prop Collectors love things like this.  Just like I love my non-functional M41A Pulse Rifle [:D]

I don't know, old buddy.  After watching that movie, I had "rubber trigger" dreams where you shoot things to no effect.

It was pitiful how many rounds they would shoot at the bugs with little or no effect.

Once, again the book was better than the movie.  In the book, their full coverage mobile infantry suits had heavy weapons that worked just fine.  If they shot a bug, it stayed down.

Oh wait.  Maybe it was only make believe?

I'm not an engineer or machinist, but I was fantasizing about a functional model.
