Almost all the casinos have free shows and amusement parks. You can also rent 4x4s and hit the jeep trails.

Just walking the strip is entertaining - most of the night clubs in the high end casinos are pretty cool too. |

The nightclub scene is pretty hot over there. For outdoors stuff, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam are nearby.

Amen on the food... walk the strip on a nice day and just take it all in... the fountains at Bellagio... the little Greenwich Village at New York New York, the canals at the Venetian... tons of free shows. Have a full day? Drive to the Grand Canyon if you've never been... Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon. Night time? The Freemont Street Experience. I was there for three days and it wasn't anywhere near enough, looks like I'm going next for Shot Show at the end of January.

Head on over to Hoover dam. You can take a tour inside the dam. Pretty cool.
Check out Lake Meade...some decent beaches there. Maybe rent a boat? Lots of buffets to eat in, and cheap. |

Food, food and food. Sorry but thats what I got outta the place.
I'm a horrible gambler and don't really enjoy it. There are lots of sights to see.... my one (1) suggestion is to at least get down to the old strip and see the light show after dark on the overhead 'bent' screen canopy. Can't remember the name of it but I really dig that thing. Gambling is everywhere but so is plenty of other activities......mini zoo/marine exhibit at the Mirage, the Pirate Show at Treasure Island, shows, concerts, Ceasars, Ballagio....love that place, but don't gamble much at all.......

So how does an average guy get to attend the Shot Show? I'd love to go, but don't you have to be trade or an invited guest to attend? Anyone have an invitation to spare for a Jersey refugee wanting to go to the show and also have some class 3 fun while I'm out there? |

Last year C&R license holders were invited. Know an FFL that isn't going? Ask to go as his rep. Any business related to firearms is allowed to attend... simply have a business card printed up that reads something like Joe Blow Security Consultants. Send in card with registration.
