I wonder if there was some sort of deal worked out where Bush agreed to additions to the import ban in exchange for the Gun Manufacturer Liability protection bill. They both occurred pretty close together. Also, it eliminates most of the guns that were on the AWB from the market.

President Bush agreed to NOTHING. The ATF just stuck it in the pooper without the decency of a reach-around. They are want to do those kind of things.

Learn the difference between theory and hypothesis. Your's is the latter.

Here's a theory for you:

Since the Atty Gen at Justice has the ability to determine what is sporting and not, could we petition him to over-turn the ATF policy? Afterall, he has discretion as written into the law. All the Dems put that paragraph in the laws they stuff down our throats every time.

Okay, not sure the new AG would go for it, but President Bush is his boss, and we know Cheney has C3 firearms.

Just a thought.
