Shipping to AZ would be $$$.

OP, you can get that stuff cheap like OverScoped if you're patient.  If you buy it new, it won't be cheap.

It's called slatwall.

Find a place as close to home as possible that makes store displays and things like that. They'll have some stack of odd leftovers they'll sit on and never use, someone will sell you some.

The shop I worked in the last few years had weird shaped pieces of it laying around, we used to throw it out after it got too deep.

Check with a real lumber/builder's supply store. THey can special order it. Otherwise, shop around. In my town, Lowe's doesn't carry it, but Menards does. You can also order it online. It's called slatwall.

Already stated, but it's called slatwall and it's very common in retail. The dimensions are more or less standardized. There are two major types, 3" and 4" OC. 4" OC looks much nicer, but you get fewer slats per board.

There is a huge variety of different pegs, baskets and faceouts for slatwall. Just make sure that you get slatwall hardware, and not pegboard hardware!

http://www.allendisplay.com/ is a good place to research it, but you should look for a local dealer if possible. Shipping is a huge pain for this stuff because it all weighs a ton. Also, look for stores that are closing and selling off displays, you can get buckets of pegs for next to nothing that way.

I use a polymer slatwall in my shed, called HandiWall.  The OSB slatwall can chip and crack.  The Handiwall won't, and it comes in smaller sections that are easier to handle and put up.  But it's more expensive.
