![]() EOTech EXPS review: The redemption of EOTech |
Nope. I returned mine, too many good options on the market to bother giving them a second chance.
I'll stick with Aimpoint. THough I am getting a Vortex holo sight for one rifle over any eotech offerings.
At least the guy has a resume to back up his thoughts. Moreso on the survival front.
They say the issues are fixed. Why should we believe L3? They lied to consumers and put soldiers and Marines lives at risk for profit. Fuck eotech!!
who is this garand thumb guy.
his videos come up in my suggested videos all the time on youtube. looks like he stumbled across the magpul dynamics videos about 5 years to late and is trying to be the new Travis Haley ![]() |

I had no idea about the parallax study. That's interesting... and somewhat disappointing
![]() Garand Thumb is great, all of his videos are no BS and well thought out. |
I never understood why it was such a problem. Just flip up the BUIS and check the zero after changing locations. I would be more concerned about other Eotech issues than that one.

View Quote And for the record I own a T1, M4 and an MRO. No Eotechs (cashed mine in last year). If eotech really has reduced the thermal drift issue in the new units as mentioned in the video I wouldn't hesitate to own one again for the fact that its parallax is significantly less than other red dots. |
L3 gave me MSRP, plus a generous shipping cost when I returned my EXPS. That was the last time I will fuck with them again.
I got the class action letter in the mail and threw it away. |
Recently found him and Lucas at T.Rex Arms. They can shoot.

I never sent in my EXPS3-0 for the rebate check. Can I send it in to get the fixes described in the video?
Huh? That guys is actually Haley's son? I thought it was a joke.
I returned a XPS and EXPS. Now have 3 Aimpoint H1s and a T2. I like being able to leave the sights on but that's about the only thing I like better. Miss the shit out of that EOTech sight picture and reticle.
returned my EXPS2.0 got the refund. Bought an MRO, now have a couple more. I really like them, especially the battery life.
But I do miss the EOTech reticle, and the large FOV. If the tech ever exist to have the battery life of an LED in an EOTech I would be all over it. |
It's funny how people traded in their perfectly working eotechs, for an optic that has WORSE parallax, worse reticle and try to explain their reasoning with battery life.
All you basement dwellers never had an issue with their eotechs. You all just followed an Internet fad because it was the current and cool thing to do. |
Two Eotechs I had were shit so I switched to Aimpoimts. If L3 finally has their shit together, I would like to have a EXP3 for my current block II build. I just hate the battery life on the Eotechs vs the Aimpoints.

Parallax doesn't just magically shift. Put your eye behind the damn thing. Bottom line the thermal shift was real and made the eotech unusable. If fixed their products have plus and minus like other good scopes if actually fixed. However, they sold our military shit and lied about it that leaves a bad taste in my mouth like the sig response to a defective product that might kill someone. Fuck them |

I did not know him and Costa had a son.
They're our agency's choice of optic. Until I can get one it's a department issue rifle for me.
We have the pick of the litter as far as optics are concerned, from elcans, to aimpoints, to trijicons, etc.
And I'll be going on my third deployment soon with the same Eotech exps 3-0. No issues or neckbearding here |
