AP Poll: Americans see gloom, doom in 2007 link
AP poll: Americans optimistic for 2007 link

Both stories were written on the same date.
That AP can't get anyting right is not news.
The same people participated in the differing stories is quite interesting.

Moral of the story is news is for entertainment value only.
The news is made up to support already formed views and any facts that do not support those views are easily removed from the story and are never heard from again.

Kind of like global warming or second hand smoke. Or how those evil assault rifles are machine guns,  they can shoot down airliners with a single shot and cause mental instablilty in otherwise ordinary people.

And for God's sake don't confuse them (AP) with facts.
