The shredding of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, you advocate hate speech laws because you care about the First Amendment. You want the government to make laws in respect to religion because you care about the First. You want guns banned or severely prohibited because you care about the Second. ETC.

Couldn't agree more

17. The shrinking of the government to the point where it is no longer effective
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This one just makes me laugh.  Someone please show me where the government has shrunk since it's inception

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
22. Higher health care bills (due to Republican refusal to consider cost containment measures or universal coverage)

Send the socialist bastards to canada.

25. An economy that rewards the rich, while it leads to the destruction of the middle-class and poor
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What? You mean Capitalism? You mean this system that allows anybody with some planning and resources to completely provide for themselves, and also create jobs for other people? Does this SCARE you, this empowerment stuff?

Again, I agree completely

"The shrinking of the government to the point where it is no longer effective..."

Who can make the case that a LARGER government is a more effective government?  Isn't that the whole point to a smaller government, i.e., that the government is ineffective regardless of size?  This argument does not advocate anarchy of course, but obviously less government is better.

Our government continues to grow dramatically regardless of which party occupies the White House.  I will leave it to better minds to quote chapter & verse, but look at the addition of the new Office of Homeland Security.  We had plenty of law enforcement, military, etc.  before 9/11 & they either were not doing their job or were not permitted to do their job.  Look at the ineffective reaction to the embassy bombings under the Clinton administration.

ya know, i have yet to meet someone who called themselves a liberal who didn't either have rocks in their head- or who's arguement wasn't based on some delusion, that once we cleared up, they realized that they were more conservative than they thought.
true as the day is long.
the reverse is also true for many of the staunch 'conservatives' i meet(they tend to be more liberal -liberatarian- than they think). most people have an incomplete understanding of what they, themselves, really mean. it's easier to just jump on the bandwagon.
