I cut and pasted this from the story on the shooting of the 13 year old boy in California.

Liberalism is a disease devoid of rational thought and facts. Its crutch is emotion.

Now the grammar Nazi's can be happy.

People today want to be taken care of, protected, etc. People with that mindset don't want to take responsibility for their own actions & safety. They would rather have someone else protecting them, giving them a false sense of security.

Great line. Is this your own or is it attributable to someone else?

I might have to use this as a sig line.

Haven't police always engaged people using guns in a threatening manner with extreme force? How is this a new concept to libs?

Strangely after 13 or so years behind the badge, I have no real issue with this...

I posted this down further but this what I was trying to say and I failed miserably..

I should have been a bit more clear on my reply, the part that was in my mind but didn't make to the keyboard, should have been " failure to drop it and then point it at the LEO", in other news I've been retired almost 10 years, so it aint really my problem, but I clearly didn't get out what I intended there.

Alex's opinion aside, if the cops tell you to drop your gun and you don't, then you're probably going to get shot.

I thought this was common knowledge.

It's getting more and more filled with political rhetoric, they don't see us as humans nor do we see them as humans either when we spout off. In the cases where someone actually has been shot because they had what the police thought was a gun do these people actually think that's good? I keep thinking the useful idiots will realize just how much of their own freedom they will loose in taking mine away, but it does not seem like it will turn out that way. Not until the same ones that take our guns tell them to sit down and shut up or else anyways.
Link Posted: 10/25/2013 5:34:18 AM EST
Kind of jumping the gun a bit, don't ya think?
(pun intended)
You are not justified in using deadly force simply because a person is holding a gun, even if it is a banned gun.
Has anyone released or seen dash cam footage of the 13 yr old POINTING the toy gun at anyone?
Or was the dash cam "malfunctioning" at this point.
Possession of the gun may have been a crime (had it been real, remember it was a toy), but unless the kid pointed it at the cops or someone else,
then that cop is a murderer.
Link Posted: 10/25/2013 5:35:56 AM EST
That is a frightening look into the liberal mind. Anyone that would advocate the execution of a person carrying "anything remotely looking like a gun" is mentally ill and should be incarcerated. As someone else noted 'Alex' does not want to take responsibility for themselves, but rather have the police use a device that they fear and loathe to take action that they would not.

I agree that if the cops tell you to drop your gun you should. If you refuse and/or point it at them then I can't see having much of a problem if they shoot you. However I think the boy in the article was more or less saying he wants the police to shoot anyone who carries a gun. He was just to pussy to phrase it like that.

...sometimes they shoot you for dropping it too. Sometimes they shoot you for not being able to drop a gun you didn't have to begin with. But mostly this happens in dense urban hells populated by liberals where the expectation is that only the police have a legitimate reason to carry a weapon.

The rules of engagement in Afghanistan are not this lenient. One fact that we do know for sure,
that weapon was not fired prior to the police arriving or afterwards. Let's not get derailed here, clearly
there are many people, including a 13 year member of the force, that believe one should be executed
for possessing a firearm in public.
Aimed the gun at them? Bullshit, kid probably turned around to see what all of the commotion was about. 10 seconds
is how long it took them to drop him.

What if their commands are not legal? What if they are mistaken about the law? Shooting someone for simply failing to put down a gun is silly, pointing it at them okay.

Now think about this, if a police officer gives you an illegal command at gun point, who is committing the forcible felony now?

There were many posts like this. The anti gunners apparently believe we need a gestapo police force.
Not sure if I am over reacting to this lunacy but I can't get my mind around the hypocrisy of his statement.

Strangely after 13 or so years behind the badge, I have no real issue with this...

To all the dick wads that believe this statement. Fuck you.
If that kid was in my backyard and I had shot him, I would be in fucking jail and on top of that, there would probably be
some trumped up hate crime attached.

There are very, very few cases where you would shoot someone (justifiably) and NOT go to jail. This is one of them, strange though it was (and there was no gun held by the kid who was shot, either).

Granted, they are not all like that- and I have no idea what Colorado's laws would demand in the immediate handling of a self-defense shooter- but let's not over-dramatize things here.

Now think about this, if a police officer gives you an illegal command at gun point, who is committing the forcible felony now?

In that case you may be in the right, but still dead...

Let's be clear here. I said my backyard not in my home. Guaranteed, I'm going to jail. Do cops get to shoot fleeing suspects?
Did the cops in DC not just shoot that woman in the back that was fleeing from her car? You or I shoot a fleeing suspect..we're in fucking jail.

I would expect that if you have the gun in your hand and the officer tells you to put it down, they are going to be in the right most of the time. I'm no lawyer but I'm guessing the way the law in most places are written is that you have to have a good reason for the weapon to be out of the holster and in your hand. Not saying if thats right or wrong. Also if I'm wrong about this feel free to correct me.

Who is breaking the law and who is not won't really matter if you end up dead or in a court room. The cop is going to come out on top.

I don't really see much of a problem there. If I am told to drop my gun and I don't, I would expect to be shot. Nothing new here.

If I am not mistaken, the typical GD response is something along the lines of "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" anytime someone is shot by the police when ignoring orders to drop a weapon.

ETA - my statement applies to adults. Not children. Kids, I'd probably be inclined to take a little more risk when dealing with them.

It's not surprising that the left would advocate the shooting of gun owner's. How many times have we seen tweets from libtards stating NRA Members ad Gun Owner's should be shot.

Yea, what about when they shoot you for following their orders ala the guy who got deaded in the costco? They ordered him to put the gun on the ground so he took it out of the holster to put it on the ground and the JBTs unloaded on him. Fuck that shit!!!

I was military police but this thin blue line, we are right no matter what, do as we say and/or get deaded bullshit has got to stop. Problem is that the libs now have control of .gov and pass down their stupid fucking ideas to the popo.

There are countless youtube videos where LEO's illegally seize weapons, so no I think it happens more often than you think.

I agree with your latter statement.

This shit and education are linked.

We don't teach our kids how to think. Thus they grow up into brainless idiots who spew liberal nonsense they're not equipped to realize is nonsense.

I should have been a bit more clear on my reply, the part that was in my mind but didn't make to the keyboard, should have been " failure to drop it and then point it at the LEO", in other news I've been retired almost 10 years, so it aint really my problem, but I clearly didn't get out what I intended there.
