I wish I had a more celebratory topic for my 5000th post. A year ago, either tonight or early tomorrow morning, no one knows for sure, my friend Maclane was taken away from his loved ones by a drunk driver. He was coming back from dropping some people off at home, he was being a designated driver and was hit head on in his lane, he died instantly.

To those who are no longer with us, you are surely missed. It just isn't the same anymore, we may move on from grieving, but we still wish you were with us. Life is so precious and it can be snuffed out in an instant. It's a shame that no one really knows how fragile we all are until tragedy strikes.

May everyone that never got a chance to see 2006 rest in peace.

ETA: I remember when he and I were kids, we used to take frogs that we had caught during recess and put them in girl's cubby's in the back of the class room.

Leave memories of loved ones that you have all lost this year if you feel so inclined, I'm signing off for the night. Good night all, and I hope you close out 2005 well.

This night more so than Christmas really depresses me.

For this simple fact i ALWAYS reflect on those that are no longer here.

My favorite uncle April 10th 1999.

My Father Jan 21st 2004.

You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

My favorite, closest uncle died 11 months ago. He was the picture of health and a fuck-up by the hospital killed him.

He had a sinus infection, he was prescribed some medication that killed his immune system, and now he's gone.

Dwight R. Cutler was a good and decent man and I hope to see him again in Heaven.
